Framekeeper is a lightweight macOS utility that captures still screenshots at a user-selected interval (for example 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or custom). It can optionally skip captures when the Mac is idle and saves screenshots as PNG files.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Framekeeper requests macOS Screen Recording permission only to capture still screenshots that the user chooses to create. We do not collect personal data on our servers. Screenshots are stored locally on the user’s Mac.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Screenshot data is used only to provide the core app feature: periodic desktop screenshot capture for the user. Framekeeper does not use screenshot content for advertising, profiling, analytics, or AI/model training.
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Framekeeper does not upload, sell, or share screenshot content with third parties.
STORAGE AND RETENTION
Screenshots are saved only in a local folder selected by the user, or by default in ~/Framekeeper. The app stores local preferences (such as interval and save location) on-device. Screenshots remain on-device until the user deletes them.
USER CONTROL
Users can stop captures at any time, change the save folder, and delete stored screenshots directly from their Mac.
