Color This—called Mal das mal in German—is a kids coloring app for iPhone and iPad designed for children ages 2 to 5. It has now been submitted to Apple for App Review.
A calm kids coloring app for iPhone and iPad
The goal is simple: give young children an approachable place to draw and color at their own pace. The app includes free drawing, twelve illustrated worlds, 20 colors and familiar tools such as colored pencil, brush, watercolor, chalk and glitter.
Color This is designed as an ad-free experience that works offline. There is no account or tracking, and optional photo-to-coloring-page processing happens directly on the device.
Encouraging early use at home
Early testing at home has been especially encouraging: my daughter already enjoys returning to the app and creating new pictures. I am intentionally keeping the family context general, but seeing the experience work naturally for its intended audience has been a meaningful milestone.
Waiting for Apple’s App Review
Submission is not the same as release. The app is currently waiting for Apple’s review. If it is approved and becomes available, I will update this post with the official App Store link.
